How to Live a Life Your Kids (and others) Can Follow
How to live a life your kids (and others) can follow:
1. Pray with and for them. (Acts 2:42; Colossians 1:9; James 5:16)
2. Read the Bible with them and seek to do what God says, in His strength. (John 15:5; James 1:22)
3. Show and tell them you love them. (John 13:34-35; 1 John 3:11-24)
4. Fellowship in a church family and commit to being a peacemaker there. (Romans 12:18; Hebrews 10:24-25)
5. Eat meals together and share what's going on in your heart and life. (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Thess. 2:7-8)
6. Spend time with a few other Christians for ongoing accountability and support. (Galatians 6:1-5)
7. Humbly admit when you are wrong. Confess it to God and them. (James 5:16; 1 John 1:5-10)
8. Model a life of repentance (turning from sin to God). (Romans 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9)
9. Make worshipping Jesus and living the gospel of the grace of God in Christ your sole motivation. (Colossians 1:18; 3:1-4)
10. Most importantly, love and trust the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 22:37; John 15:9-14; Galatians 2:20)
