God’s Truth for Trying Times - 1/27/22

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: Ephesians 3:6-7 

This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power. [Ephesians 3:6-7 ESV]

CONSIDER: Although the Old Testament hinted at it and people should have been aware, it wasn't abundantly clear to people that Gentiles would be included in the new covenant. Every believer regardless of ethnicity or background is a member of the same body and fellow heirs of God's grace and partakers of his gospel goodness. God accomplishes all this by his own power.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?

PRAY: Pray these verses to God as a prayer. Pour out your heart in praise to God. Pray for others. Present needs to Him.
