God’s Truth for Trying Times - 10/25/21

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: 1 John 5:1-2

 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. [1 John 5:1-2 ESV]

CONSIDER: All who believes in the promised and finished work of Christ on the cross, and trusts him as Savior and Lord, and believes he is returning, and loves and obeys God, is regenerate. 

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
