God’s Truth for Trying Times - 10/9/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: ‬‭‭Isaiah 41:10

"Do not fear for I am with you..." (Is. 41:10)

CONSIDER: I think the absolute best reason not to fear is that God is with us. Psalm 46 says similar. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble, therefore we will not fear. No matter what happens. The opposite of fear is faith. We believe that God will work all things together for good to those who love him and are called according to his purpose (Rom. 8:28).

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
