God’s Truth for Trying Times - 11/27/21

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: 1 Timothy 2:13-15

For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing--if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control. [1 Timothy 2:13-15 ESV] 

CONSIDER: As women fulfill the roles that God has gifted them with, and they do so in dependence on the Lord who strengthens his people, enabling them continue in believing, holy living, and godly living, they will be blessed by God and others will see a beautiful picture of trust and obedience.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?

PRAY: Pray these verses to God as a prayer. Pour out your heart in praise to God. Pray for others. Present needs to Him.
