God’s Truth for Trying Times - 11/9/21

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: 3 John 1:3-4

“For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
‭‭3 John‬ ‭1:3-4‬ ‭ESV

CONSIDER: These verses are drenched in joy! There is great rejoicing getting good news from fellow believers of their growth in godliness and adherence to the truth. There is nothing more joy-inducing than hearing that fellow believers are living their lives loving Jesus and obeying the word of God.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?

PRAY: Pray these verses to God as a prayer. Pour out your heart in praise to God. Pray for others. Present needs to Him.
