God’s Truth for Trying Times - 6/12/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: 1 Corinthians 13:7

“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
‭‭(1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:7‬)

CONSIDER: We are to consider how to stir up one another to love and good deeds. Love bears, believes, hopes, endures. Bears means to hold up, cover, like a roof. It means to protect as a roof, to hold up/endure, even to forbear. It is a rich word. The kind of person who is kind, wise, protective, and unifying.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
