God’s Truth for Trying Times - 6/12/21

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: 1 Thessalonians 2:7-8

But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children. So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us. [1 Thessalonians 2:7-8 ESV] 

CONSIDER: This is probably the most important verse with regard to Christian fellowship. To share the word of God and your life with fellow believers because you became very dear to one another. You love one another so much with the love of Christ.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
