God’s Truth for Trying Times - 6/18/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: Psalm‬ ‭145:1‬

“I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever.”

‭‭(Psalm‬ ‭145:1‬)

CONSIDER: The Psalmist wants to freely and deeply praise God. So he starts by extolling God, expressing his desire to go on and on about how amazing God is. He even says that he will bless God’s name forever and ever. This is the believer's right and privilege based upon God’s gift of salvation. Resolve today to praise God, your king, and speak well of his name forever.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assuranceis given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
