God’s Truth for Trying Times - 6/20/21

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: 1 Thessalonians 3:9-10

For what thanksgiving can we return to God for you, for all the joy that we feel for your sake before our God, as we pray most earnestly night and day that we may see you face to face and supply what is lacking in your faith? [1 Thessalonians 3:9-10 ESV] 

CONSIDER: Believers overflow with thanksgiving to God for all the joy that he generates in our hearts because of the godly lives of other believers that encourages us.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
