God’s Truth for Trying Times - 6/22/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

Psalm 145:5

“On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.” (Psalm‬ ‭145:5‬)

CONSIDER: Glorious splendor of majesty is such an amazing line. Glorious, having to do with God's glory. Splendor, having to do with God's beauty and goodness. Majesty, having to do with kingliness. To meditate upon is to think deeply about and roll over and over through your mind. Thinking about God’s glorious majesty is probably the best thing we can do. And it inspires actions that please God.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
