God’s Truth for Trying Times - 6/26/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: Psalm 145:9

“The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.”

‭‭(Psalm‬ ‭145:9‬)

CONSIDER: There is no one that God is unkind to. He is pure justice. He is pure kindness. He holds back much of what our sins deserve. The only place where people will get unmitigated punishment for their sin will be in hell. But as of this moment, his mercy is holding back the full wrath and the full consequence of our sins. All by his sovereign choice.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
