God’s Truth for Trying Times - 6/27/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: Psalm 145:10

“All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you!” (Psalm‬ ‭145:10‬)

CONSIDER: It’s interesting that this verse says that all of God’s works will give thanks to him. We know that at the present moment that is not happening. But we do know that Philippians 2:10-11 says that one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. I think that would qualify as giving thanks to God. And of course everyone who has been saved by Jesus blesses the name of God every day because we are so thankful and grateful for God’s gift of salvation and his mercy and grace which has been showered upon us, and holds us secure for eternity.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
