God’s Truth for Trying Times - 7/3/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

“You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing.”

‭‭(Psalm‬ ‭145:16‬)

CONSIDER: God opening his hand to sustain people is God giving what is needed in the moment of need. You satisfies the desire of every living thing to live. We instinctively want to live. And God has set eternity in our hearts because we long for connection to God. The gospel of the grace of God in Christ is the power of God for salvation, and only in the gospel are we fully satisfied.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
