God’s Truth for Trying Times - 9/8/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: ‬‭‭John‬ ‭1:14‬ 

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (‭‭John‬ ‭1:14‬) 

CONSIDER: God's plan to bring a people close to himself, choosing of people for himself, culminated in Christ becoming man and "tabernacling" amongst us. As God continued his plan to restore Eden, and bring in the new heavens and new earth one day, Christ became sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God. His grace and truth are immeasurable and beyond comprehension.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
