God’s Truth for Trying Times - 7/25/21

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: 2 Thessalonians 3:16-18

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all. I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. This is the sign of genuineness in every letter of mine; it is the way I write. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. [2 Thessalonians 3:16-18 ESV] 

CONSIDER: The Lord God Almighty is able to give peace to believers in all circumstances. It is a overriding and permeating peace. It is a peace that affects every aspect of your heart and life. It is a comprehensive peace. God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or think, and the peace he grants is beyond our understanding.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
