“How Should a Christian Respond to Roe V. Wade Being Overturned?”

“How Should a Christian Respond to Roe V. Wade Being Overturned?”

With rejoicing that even for a moment, even while so many other people are devaluing human life, God has seen fit to move in the hearts of rational people to do something that is right. God is the one who puts one up and another down. He puts people in authority and there are times judgment comes and there are times blessing comes. God is the one who holds all life in His hands. We love God because He first loved us and we love life.

Now individual states can make the laws they want to make. They might be better they might be worse. But this opens the door. Roe v. Wade was seen as sacrosanct but it isn’t that old. And this is a move in the right direction to uphold the sanctity of life. From a biblical perspective, if nothing more, it gives opportunity for believers in America to speak into the conversation that life is sacred and people need to believe the gospel.

A Christian ought to rejoice when something good happens. We should not gloat and we should not be hateful to anyone, but continue to trumpet the gospel call that all who believe in Jesus Christ will be saved. Human life, made in God’s image, is sacred, and the more people who are born, the more people we have opportunity to share the gospel with. We are to love all people, who are made in His image.

May we never be found on the wrong side of God, and may we continue to trust His perfect, sovereign, providentially orchestrated timing. For every part of life. Lord, Your will be done! May all of Your people in every time until You come again live for Your pleasure and do Your will. Come Lord Jesus! May we respond with love and understanding and most of all praise to You who alone deserves all praise every day, in everything.

Soli Deo Gloria

“We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds. “At the set time that I appoint I will judge with equity. When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. Selah I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn; do not lift up your horn on high, or speak with haughty neck.’” For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another. For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup with foaming wine, well mixed, and he pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth shall drain it down to the dregs. But I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob. All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.” Psalm‬ ‭75:1-10‬ ‭
