Remembering Mercy | Habakkuk 3:1-16

In preparation for your home group this week:

Read and Consider

1. Read Ezekiel 33:1-20 and Romans 9:1-29. What is God's mercy? How is God merciful? Discusss God's mercy toward the wicked. What should our response be?

2. Read Romans 11:28-36. What questions and quandaries do you struggle with as you contemplate God's merciful ways?

3. Read 2 Samuel 24:10-17; Psalm 86:5, 145:9; Ephesians 2:1-7; Titus 3:1-7; Hebrews 4:14-16. We all know we need mercy, so how do we get it?

4. Read Luke 18:9-14 How important is it for us to confess our sins and admit we are unworthy of mercy?

5. Read Matthew 5:7, 18:21-35; Luke 6:27-36; James 2:1-13. We are called to be merciful. What does that look like? What is the contrast between showing favoritism and being merciful?

6. Read 1 Timothy 1:12-17; 2 Cor. 4:1-6. Have you experienced God's mercy? How has His mercy towards you changed your life? Share a testimony of God's mercy in your life.
