Discussion Questions
Read and Consider
1. Read Phil. 2:17, 18; 3:1; 4:4. Why should a Christian be joyful always? Give as many reasons as you can.
2. Read Luke 11:1–13; 18:1–8; Eph. 6:18; Phil. 4:6; Col. 4:2, 12. Discuss the best ways to develop your own prayer life and the prayer life of your group. What are some of the things that stifle prayer? Why is prayer so important?
3. Read Rom. 1:21; 2 Tim. 3:1–5. There are many Christians who are always complaining about something. How can we encourage them to be more thankful?
4. Paul practiced what he preached. When he was in prison he set the believers an example to follow by his exhortations and way of life. Read Philippians 1:3–26 and highlight Paul’s example to the Philippians in the areas of prayer, joy and thanksgiving.
