God on the Throne: The Lordship of Christ Romans 14:10-12
Discussion Questions:
- Re-read Romans 14: 10–12 as well as Philippians 2:1–13 and think about this: why do we have so much problem with authority? Why do we have so much problem with God’s authority?
- How is it that we can say that Jesus is Lord and the Word of God is authoritative and yet outright disobey the Word of God? What is God’s remedy for this cyclical, continuing situation?
- How does the Spirit of God indwelling us help and what is our responsibility?
- What joy is ours as we embrace all that the Lordship of Christ means?
- What can we do to better attune ourselves to acknowledge and answer Christ’s Lordship with absolute obedience? How do we experience God’s pleasure in our obedience?
