- In what sense should believers be concerned with pursuing their own happiness? What are some of the unbiblical ways we are tempted to pursue happiness? (Psalm 32:1–2; Psalm 1:1)
- What causes us to conceal sin from God and others? How does this Psalm encourage us to freely confess sin? (Genesis 2:7; James 5:16; 1 John 1:9)
- Is it always easy to recognize the presence of unconfessed sin in our lives? What warning signs can help alert us that all is not well with our soul?
- How does experiencing God’s forgiveness alleviate the misery that sin brings?
- Psalm 32 ends with a call for believers to rejoice and shout for joy (Psalm 32:10–11). Is your life characterized by peace and joy? What can you do this week to more deeply enjoy the reality of God’s forgiving grace? (Psalm 4:7; Psalm 16:11; Romans 15:13)
