Sermon Application Questions: 

1. Why is it so crucial for believers to be patient? Why is the farming motif a perfect corresponding metaphor?
2. What do you make of a lack of patience, a lack of the fruit of the Spirit, being evidenced in a professing believer’s heart and life?
3. Why is patience being connected to the return of Christ here?
4. What is the significance of the “Judge” being “at the door”?
5. Interact with this quote: “In a world overrun by impatient people trying to build their own dynasties, the confessing church must rely solely on the Lord Jesus Christ’s promises as they pertain to His imminent return.”
6. Discuss the various Biblical aspects of the Lord’s return: promised, personal, bodily, visible, imminent. Why are they more important, though decidedly less juicy and argument inducing, than your preferred end times view?
