1. How does suffering drive us to pray? How is it counterintuitive to pray while suffering? 
2. Read the following and identify elements such as Thanksgiving, praise, confession of sin, etc. 1 Chron. 29:10-14; Ps. 51; Matt. 6:9-13; Eph. 3:16-19. What priority does the Bible give them? How might your life change if you incorporated them in your prayers?
3. Write a poem or song of cheerful praise to God and share it. 
4. Why do you think God tells us to call for the elders of the church to pray for us when we are sick?
5. How does Jesus carrying our infirmities tie in to the message of Is. 53:3–6 and 1 Pet. 2:24?
