"The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples, like dew from the Lord, like showers on the grass which do not wait for anyone or depend on man." Duet. 32:2

At the time of this writing, the Israelites were held captive in Babylon. The believing remnant had great influence upon the Babylonian population and, I believe, persuaded some to believe in the one true God. The prophet Micah likens this to the heavy dew that (for climatic reasons) waters the parched land and is thus the agriculture of Israel. How about our influence on the increasingly decadent culture in which we live? Are we like dew and water refreshing the spiritually parched souls around us? From those who possess Him, who is the water of life, Jesus says, "Out of them will flow rivers of living water." Resolve not to hinder its flow!
