Dust Is Not Our Final Condition

"But we are citizens of heaven; our outlook goes beyond this world to the hopeful expectation of the Savior who will come from Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will remake these wretched bodies (made from dust) of ours to resemble His own glorious body by the power which makes Him the master of everything that is." Phil.3:20, 21 (J.B. Phillips)

We believers have the best of all dual citizenships: one on earth and one in heaven. We eagerly and patiently await the coming of Christ when He will radically redesign our bodies to be adapted for our life in heaven. To live in a body without human frailties and limitations is not possible to grasp. The contrast and difference between our earthly body and our glorified heavenly body is so great that there is no basis for comparison. Every pain, heartache, and disappointment in life, so typical of our human experience, should remind us that in heaven those things will be ancient history, never to be repeated. The Bible says "we will be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is" (1 Jn. 3:2b).
