Dust Is What We Are

"Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth His children. For He knoweth our frame; and remembers that we are dust." Ps. 103:13, 14 KJV

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that our creator God knows everything about the bodies He made from dust. The bad news is that dust is what we are, powerless without Him. God is continuously mindful that He is dealing with dust. Have you like Job at times felt like dust, wasted, and emotionally numb from what was happening to him? I felt like dust 15 years ago when, after exploratory surgery and 11 days in the hospital, the nurse gave me a washcloth and said, "Take a shower." I thought surely she was kidding me! I could barely walk or lift my arms. I was as Paul said about himself writing to the church at Corinth, "without strength." God's strength will not fail us for "He remembers we are but dust."
