God's Perspective On The Wicked

"Until I came into the sanctuary of God; it was only then I perceived their final end (the wicked). Before, I was senseless and ignorant; I was like a beast before You. Nevertheless, I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my hand." Ps. 73:17, 22-23 NASV

How easy it is to become jealous, envious and even resentful of the arrogance and prosperity of wicked people. How pitiful it is for us who are joint-heirs with Jesus Christ that we would be the least bit concerned about the temporal wealth of others. Asaph, one of the Temple choir directors, probably wrote both the words and the music to this Psalm. Asaph did not gain God's perspective on the wicked which is "pay day someday," until he went to his place of worship and spent time with the Lord. Note: During this time living as captives in the Babylonian kingdom, the people had no Temple, and thus no sanctuary. They nonetheless worshiped God. You too can make a sanctuary out of your own heart and worship the Lord.
