God’s Truth for Trying Times - 9/12/21

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: James 5:9

Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door. [James 5:9 ESV] 

CONSIDER: God hears everything and we are not to complain against fellow believers. The judge is at the door and he is about to return at any moment. We believe in the personal, visible, promised, bodily, imminent return of Christ.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
