"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now commands all people to repent (because of the gift of Christ). For He has set a day when He will judge the world by the Man He has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising Him from the dead." Acts 17:30, 31 NIV

In the past God's revelation of Himself through the Law and the prophets, though true and accurate, was incomplete. Now in "these last days He has spoken to us by His Son." Jesus is the final and complete revelation of God, so man lacks no knowledge of who He is and what He demands. Does it not seem reasonable that a Holy God would demand repentance from sin? Our current Christian culture wants everyone to "feel good" about himself, but God wants everyone to feel guilt about his sin and repent and believe the Gospel. Jesus's resurrection is sure proof that He will fulfill His role as judge of the world.
