Dust not only speaks to our origin; it speaks also to our human destiny. We return to what we came from - dust. In Job's unimaginable suffering and sorrow he uses the word "dust" twenty times to describe his physical and mental state. Dust is a mineral having no feelings at all, and that's how Job felt at this time of testing in his 200 year life span. However long one lives and no matter how well we may take care of ourselves, our bodies are returning back to what we came from - dust. Thank God for the spiritual part of us that was made in His image which unlike the body does not perish at death, but lives on forever. Take comfort in the fact that you are not your body, and your body is not you.
