GCO Fieldhouse project Update

THE FIELDHOUSE

In this current phase of our plans to refresh our campus, we want to construct a Multi-use building that can be utilized for various recreational activities, and church events. This will be an addition to our property that enhances our ministry opportunities. The Fieldhouse will be located on the northwest end of the grass field. The structure will include a full basketball court and volleyball court, will have Men's and Women's ADA compliant restrooms, Heating and Air Conditioning, and will be equipped for sound and video capabilities. With lights to allow for evening use, the Fieldhouse will be an excellent multi-use venue for church gatherings and fun events, while preserving much of our green space.

We have received our building permit from the City of Orange and work has begun. Rough grading of the site is finished. We will begin trenching for utility lines and footings for the building as soon as weather permits.   Over the next month we expect to have the foundation and footings poured.

We are also moving the larger playground structure. The fence around the children’s play area will be expanded to accommodate placement of the reinstalled playground and new upgraded surface material.

"ULTIMATELY, WHY ARE WE DOING THIS? GOD HAS BLESSED US WITH A BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS AND WE WANT TO IMPROVE IT IN SUCH A WAY THAT WILL ALLOW US TO BETTER FULFILL OUR ULTIMATE GOAL AND GLORIFY GOD AS WE REACH OUT MORE EFFECTIVELY TO OUR SURROUNDING COMMUNITY. WE WANT TO TRANSFORM OUR CURRENT SITE INTO A VENUE THAT CLEARLY INVITES PEOPLE TO COME AND BE A PART OF WHAT GOD IS DOING."-THE GCO Fieldhouse project TEAM
