We are a Christ-centered community intent on proclaiming the
gospel, making disciples, and sacrificially serving Jesus Christ.

A Christ-Centered Community

The churches established in Scripture lived in community together. They worshiped, prayed, and ate together. They encouraged one another and sat under the apostles' teaching. They shared with each other and lived in unity (Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 2:11-22). They formed strong bonds with each other because they looked first to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). They emphasized the importance of Scripture as the Word of God and took care to teach it and apply it to all of life (2 Timothy 3:16-4:3). We want to develop a spiritual community that is reminiscent of those early churches both in terms of our relationship with each other as well as our focus on Jesus Christ.

Proclaiming the Gospel

Join us on Sundays to worship God as we pray, sing, give, and hear His Word proclaimed. We then go out to "proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9).

The gospel is the great hope of the world! It is the good news by which we learn of the perfection of God, the radical sinfulness of all mankind, and the grace and reconciliation that comes through Jesus Christ to everyone who trusts in Him as their Savior and is willing to follow after Him (Colossians 1:15-23). At the cross, Jesus paid the price for our sins by dying in our place, and He defeated death by rising on the third day. Many different kinds of needs exist in the world, but the greatest need is for each person to realize their need for a Savior, repent of their sin, place their faith in Jesus and live in dependence on Him. As a result we are committed to proclaiming the gospel boldly in Orange, beyond our city's borders, and even to the ends of the earth.

Making Disciples

As followers of Jesus we are committed to obeying God's word and helping others do the same. Get in a group where you can "grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18).

In the Great Commission, Jesus sends the apostles out to make disciples of all nations, which includes teaching them to obey all that He has commanded (Matthew 28: 18-20). A disciple is someone who follows Jesus Christ and is being conformed to His image. We want everyone to understand the comprehensive nature of discipleship: every believer should recognize God's Word working in him or her, and be growing in the lives of others (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18; Titus 2:1-9). Becoming a disciple is not something that happens at a point in time, but is a lifelong process where God uses His people to impact the lives of others by pointing them to Jesus.

Sacrificially Serving Jesus

God has called us to serve one another and the world by sharing the gospel and demonstrating the love of Christ. Use the gifts God has given you to “serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10).

God makes His love, grace, and mercy evident to the world through our sacrificial service, because we are His people. Every Christian should be characterized by giving of themselves for the good of others (Matthew 7:12). Not only do we serve Jesus by living in unity with each other, but we are especially called to service in our community. Believers must ask God for hearts that are truly concerned for people in need (acts 6:1-7; Galatians 6:2; Philippians 2:4). We know that we can display love, kindness, mercy and compassion to the world because of the work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. The gospel transcends ethnic, geographic, and socio-economic borders. We are committed to serving all people and loving them in tangible ways.
