Easter has Tuesday Significance

blog-backlit-cross

I love a good holiday. Christmas and Easter are my favorites. I love Easter time, because of all the new birth and new growth that can be seen in God’s wonderful creation. Vibrant colors of spring flowers, blossoms on fruit trees, and even spring showers add to the goodness. God is so kind to us.

Yet, it is easy to miss the point of significant days; to get so emotionally attached to an event we miss their daily importance. We build up so much to holidays, the aftermath is a letdown. It’s good to celebrate holidays, yet God wants us to revel in Christ’s significance daily.

Do not let celebrating Easter get in the way of living Easter. Praise God, every day is Resurrection day for a believer, whom “God has caused to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1:3). Our hope is a living, lasting, daily, eternal hope.

Dear believer, in the midst of this coronavirus crisis, in the midst of uncertainty, worry, and fear that stalks and comes creeping up, relish this hope we have in Christ today. Your Easter hope is also a Tuesday hope. Jesus will never leave you or forsake you. He is with you always.
