Church Leadership Recommendations 2022

This is the time to recommend people as prospective Elders and Deacons/Deaconesses.

What we do:

• Review biblical qualifications for Elders and Deacons/Deaconesses (1 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Pet. 5:1-4, 1 Tim. 3:8-13) and find the Grace Orange requirements in our bylaws at graceorange.org/bylaws.

• Recommend people at Grace who meet the biblical qualifications and Grace Orange requirements. Fill out the form HERE by 11/3/21.

• Affirm Leaders in January 2022 once the Elder Board reviews the names and submits a final list of proposed leaders to the congregation.

• Appoint Leaders to positions after affirmation by the congregation. Elders install them during Sunday morning services.

All potential leaders go through a process of equipping and examination. After confirmation by the congregation, elders and deacons/deaconesses continue to go through an ongoing process of equipping and growth as they engage in their roles and responsibilities.
