Sermon Application Questions:

1. Why would anyone want to quench the working of the Spirit of God? How do we inadvertently do that? What is the remedy when we are guilty? (Eph. 4:30-32)
2. In what ways might you be tempted to make little of the authoritative Word of God and consider it not as important or binding upon your life? (2 Tim. 2:14-4:5)
3. Why must everything be tested by the Word of God and why doesn’t it work if we are just tested by our own opinions or understanding? (Prov. 3:5-6; James 1:19-22)
4. How might a person learn to cling to what is good? How might that be evidenced in your life?
5. Staying away from every form of evil is not so simple. It’s tougher than it sounds. Why does it seem as if evil is sometimes like a magnet?
