READ: 1 Peter 1:22-25

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; for "All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever." And this word is the good news that was preached to you. [1 Peter 1:22-25 ESV]

CONSIDER: The truth sets us free, to obey the truth and love, so now we can love one another with a heart that has been cleansed by the word of God that is eternal and remains forever. The good news was preached to us and now we bask in the grace of God and his unmerited kindness towards us. It is all because of the mercy and the merit of Jesus.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?

PRAY: Pray these verses to God as a prayer. Pour out your heart in praise to God. Pray for others. Present needs to Him.
