God’s Truth for Trying Times - 4/6/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ:  Acts 2:23-24

“Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.”

‭‭(Acts‬ ‭2:22-24‬)

CONSIDER: Christ died on the cross by the will of God. God planned it before the world began. It was His purpose, His decree, what He decided to do, all for His glory and our good. So amazing was God’s plan. So amazing is God’s plan! Just like Isaiah 53 says, it was God’s will to crush the suffering servant. And these verses today, tells us that this was according to the predetermined plan of God. He has it all figured out. Just like He has your life all figured out. Just like He has the world completely under control. He knows exactly what He’s doing. He knows exactly what He will do. Trust Him today with everything, surrender fully to Him.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?

PRAY:‬‬ Pray these verses to God as a prayer. Pour out your heart in praise to God. Pray for others. Present needs to Him.
