God’s Truth for Trying Times - 10/21/21

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: 1 John 4:13-14

By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. [1 John 4:13-14 ESV] 

CONSIDER: The Holy Spirit lives in believers, and testifiez to the truth such that we are able to testify to the gospel truth of Christ crucified, risen, and coming again.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
