God’s Truth for Trying Times - 11/22/21

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

READ: 1 Timothy 2:3-4

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. [1 Timothy 2:3-4 ESV] 

CONSIDER: God wants all to come to faith in Christ and believe the gospel and follow him independence and obedience. While at the same time, God is the one who chooses who will be saved. He is not sitting there wringing his hands wondering if they will except him, all whom he has chosen will come to him. And whoever comes to him he will never cashed out.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?

PRAY: Pray these verses to God as a prayer. Pour out your heart in praise to God. Pray for others. Present needs to Him.
