God’s Truth for Trying Times - 8/13/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

CONSIDER: This is one of the high points of Scripture. Scripture talking about Scripture. And what it is useful for. It's good for everything. That’s right, God’s word is completely sufficient and adequate for every single aspect of life. Nothing is exempted. The word at work in believers lives makes us adequate and fully equipped for God’s service.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
