God’s Truth for Trying Times - 8/21/20

We need God’s truth in trying times. Read the Scripture passage, think about what it is saying, then pray; by yourself or with your household. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly (Col. 3:16).

“Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus. Erastus remained at Corinth, and I left Trophimus, who was ill, at Miletus. Do your best to come before winter. Eubulus sends greetings to you, as do Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brothers. The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.”

‭‭(2 Timothy‬ ‭4:19-22)

CONSIDER: Paul greeted his loved ones Prisca and Aquila who had helped him greatly, and the household of Onesiphorus, the one who refreshed him. He cared about community. He cares about those whom he loves and whom God has put him together with. He cares about the fellowship and took the time to send greetings of love. And most of all he assured them that the Lord is with them and his grace is upon them.

THINK: What does this declare about God? What are God’s people being called to do? What assurance is given? How does the Word of God transform our hearts and lives and relationships?
