Looking to Jesus

A New Day Dawned

A NEW DAY DAWNED
(A sort of poem...forgive the CAPS. I'm not yelling.:))

A NEW DAY DAWNED AND THE CHURCH AT PENTECOST LIT THINGS UP.

LIKE A BLOWTORCH THE HOLY SPIRIT CUT THE UMBILICAL CORD AND BREATHED FIRE ON THE DRY LANDSCAPE OF HUMAN HEARTS.

THE WORD UNLEASHED LIKE A WILDFIRE AND WITH UNRELENTING FURY CONSUMED EVERYTHING IN ITS PATH.

NOTHING WAS SAFE AND EVERYTHING WAS DIFFERENT. NOTHING WOULD EVER BE THE SAME.

THE CHURCH BIRTHED, THE SLAVEDRIVER DEFEATED, HOLY FREEDOM REFRESHED LIKE A COOL BREEZE ON A HOT SUMMER DAY.

THE FLAMES PURIFYING GOLD AND PULVERIZING WEEDS, STRENGTHENING THE CHOSEN AND EXPOSING IMPOSTERS.

FROM THE EPICENTER IT REVERBERATED OUT IN UNHARNESSED JOY AND STRENGTH, UNLEASHING CHRIST EXALTING RETRIBUTION ON SATAN AND SIN; A HAILSTORM OF WRATH-DOUSING MERCY.

USHERING IN A MOVEMENT FUELED BY BLOOD, ANGLING TO A DAY WHERE ALL WOULD BOW UNDER THE KING'S KIND COMMAND.
