Beyond Envy

Discussion Questions:

1. When are you most tempted to be envious and jealous of others and engage in rivalry and competition?
2. When are you most prone to compare yourself to others? What aspect do you most often compare? Why? 
3. How does Jesus in the Gospel overcome our tendency to envy, rivalry, competition, and comparison? How does the Gospel foster quietness, rest, and generosity, and contentment?
4. Identify one promise of God you can cling to, one prayer you can pray, and one definite action you can take to begin to eradicate envy from your life. Share all three with someone and check in with each other in a few days.
