What Really Doesn't Matter
Jesus defines significance. Jesus is reality. The gospel is the truth by which everything else is measured. God's Word is eternal. And what really doesn't matter is our petty differences in opinions, our performance-driven mentality, our actual performance, or the size of our house or our car or our bank account. Jesus cares about what is needful. He is intimately acquainted with all our ways, but it is so easy for us to think that he must get stressed out about all the things we are stressed out about. It simply is not true. Pretty much as far away from it as the sun is from the earth. One thing is needful Jesus says. It is sitting at his feet in awestruck worship of him.
