“…Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

We are not always confident in our abilities or those of others. We doubt the ability to do a certain task or to accomplish a certain goal. Our hope in Jesus is not wishful thinking. It goes as deep as the nature and character of God. It is sure (certain, secure, safe) and steadfast (guaranteed, grounded, unchangeable) anchor for the soul. 1 Pet. 5:7 says we can cast our cares on Jesus. He is strong and His working is as certain as the rising sun. He is our strong and certain hope.
