"But I will hope continually and will praise you yet more and more." Psalm 71:14

Hope is an ongoing, continuous thing. It is not a one-time event. Those in Christ are born again to a living hope. It is not static. It does not depend on circumstances. It is rooted in the faithfulness of God. Its object is the Triune God. Its operation is continuous. And it results in more and more praise to God. That is what the psalmist says, that continual hope in God leads to increasing praise of God. Praise God He gives us hope.
