A prayer like this to the God of our life comes not from feigned innocence, nor from empty praise. It is not the prayer of the self-absorbed. It is the heart-cry of a wounded soul. A prayer for deliverance from sin and self to the greener pastures of God-dependence. To abound, to multiply in hope. Overflowing is to be filled with God and indwelt by the Spirit. It is a Jesus-loving word, to the humble-servant of Christ that cares not for man's applause nor for the vain pursuits that millions chase. Content in Christ, the soul rests. May it be so for you.
