Comfort For Troubled Hearts

"Let not your heart be troubled: You believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it was not true, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto Myself; that where I am you may be also." John 14:1-3 KJV

After His resurrection somewhere between the Kidron valley and summit of the Mount of Olives, Jesus spoke these comforting words to His disheartened band of followers. May you also accept the same reassurance and promise, by which they and countless believers throughout history have been comforted. Jesus said He would leave them (which He did), that He would return (which He shall), and take them to where He had been, His Father's house. In the interval between His going and coming He would build a place for them and all who belong to Him. These three verses are a sure antidote for a troubled heart.
