“And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you." Psalm 39:7

We wait for all sorts of things and people. We wait for appointments. We wait for food. We wait for people to arrive. We wait, most fully, on the Lord. We wait for what He has promised. We wait for it with expectation, if not always with patience. Our hope, our assurance, our confidence, is in Jesus. Jesus is our reason for everything and the supreme reason for our hope.
