"So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you." Exodus 23:25

"So" is a transition word from what they would be tempted to serve in their new land (pagan idols) and Him whom they should serve, the Lord their God. Following through and serving the Lord would result in a three-fold blessing from Him. 1. God would give them good harvests, thus providing their daily bread. 2. He would give them good supply of water, the very two things most needed to sustain life. 3. God would also give them a special immunity from sickness. Does not God do the same for us today as we faithfully serve Him? In the spiritual realm Jesus, is both our Bread of life, our Water of life, and also, lest we forget, our great Physician.
